The team also provides sports massage therapy and other manual therapy techniques to help athletes and non-athletes alike prevent injuries (such as low back pain or facet joint pain), reduce muscular pain and enhance their performance.
Rehabilitation
We offer exercise rehab programs for clients recovering from surgery or injury, helping them regain strength and mobility. We are fortunate to have a large, private rehab gym at our Hitchin site.

What makes us different?
The Carter & George Practice is not your typical physiotherapy clinic. Our appointments use a data-led approach to ensure we are always tracking improvement and providing a thorough and full assessment. By analyzing the data, we can identify areas where you need to improve and adjust your treatment plans accordingly. This is very similar to what you would experience if you were a professional athlete. To learn more about what a sports physiotherapist does, we have written a blog about it here.
At The Carter & George Practice, we use state-of-the-art technology to provide their patients with a physiotherapy experience that is similar to what professional athletes receive. We utilize shockwave therapy and force platforms, as we as a range of other technology, to assess and treat injuries, helping you recover faster and more effectively – and ultimately aiming for you to be pain free.
By incorporating these technologies, the physio can diagnose injuries more accurately and develop treatment plans that are tailored to each patient’s specific needs and goals. This approach ensures that patient receives the highest quality care possible, just like a professional athlete would.
